I'm a big smoothie lover and make one at least once a day. They have been a big part of my weight loss in the last 6 months and I'm always looking for new recipes
I thought it would be fun to start a group where we can swap our favorite smoothie recipes. I already checked and there isn't a group yet. It doesn't matter if there green, fruit or both as long as there healthy! I need at least 3 people who will join the group before I can create it. Please Please, if you like smoothies, leave a comment so I can invite you and start this group Thank you!!!

My go to smoothie is one I found years ago in Prevention Magazine. It's one banana, 1/4 cup yogurt (I use plain greek), 1/4 cup skim milk, 1/2 scoop protein powder, a sprinkling of cinnamon, 4-5 whole frozen strawberries. It makes about 12 oz. of yummy goodness. :happy:0

A few minutes before your make your smoothie mix 1 tablespoon of chia seeds with 3 tablespoons of water in a small cup, let this set in the fridge until it turns into a jelly consistency. You are far better off eating the whole fruit or vegetables than blending it into a smoothie. When you do, you breakdown the food and your stomach doesn't have to do so much work or burn as many calories to process it. It's very easy to drink too many calories in a smoothie, but hard if you eat the whole food.0

No problem as long as you are aware of your intake and needs. I love smoothies, and I love whole fruits and veggies. A smoothie isn't really any different than eating marinara sauce. Just part of a recipe.0
