Hello ALL! My name is king and im 285lbs/49years old. 3 days ago for the first time in over 40years I completely stopped drinking Mt. Dew. I'm kicking myself for letting myself go. No excuses here. I really don't eat a lot (famous words for a fat person). It was the sweets and 1200 calories from Mt. Dew that was making me fat. Well, that and me consuming them. I blame me and only me. I know I can do this but I would like to take you on my journey with me so if anyone has any words of encouragement or stories to tell me, I would love to here em', I'm a great listener

Congrats on giving up the Dew. That's a great first step. My downfall was McDonald's sweet tea. It was my liquid crack! lol I haven't had one in over 2 months now. Feel free to add me.0

Congratulations! Personally my downfall was eating like a pig (most notably a crazy amount of pizza). I'm refusing to even let it in the house now in the hope that I can finally get down to some serious weight loss although the amount of online take-aways is pretty daunting when the craving strikes!0 -
Good for you. It's tough to cut something out cold turkey.
If you were able to give up the Dew you can do this! I always welcome new friends if you need some.0 -
I used to have a thing with Diet Pepsi (2 bottles a day) .. and binge junk food sessions. I have give both of those up .. (did it cold turkey about a month ago). I still have to be careful at the store .. and really walk by that junk food aisle.
I can understand how you feel ... I let myself go as well. I used to be fit in about 2006 and it hurts me to realize that I have gotten to the point where I find myself.
I wish you success .. and I totally understand the cravings, both the pop and the junk food. Been there .. did that.0
