Proud of myself

This is similar to another post titled success at someone elses expense.

This morning, I had my normal breakfast when the kids asked me to pick up dunkin donuts for them. They asked me to pick up a box of munchkins, I think it has like 25 munchkins in it.

When I got to dunkin donuts I couldn't bring myself to do it. My thought was if I brought home a box of 25 munchkins, not only would the kids have their fill but would have more through out the day just because they were there, and I would to. Although I had already had my breakfast I would pick at the box all day until it was gone.
So instead I got the kids one donut each and nothing for myself. When I got home and explained my theory to the kids my son understood and was proud of me, my daughter on the other hand was not so happy. But she'll manage.

Keep in mind dunkin donuts is a 'treat' the kids get it once a week, and we go out to breakfast once a week, the rest of the time we have a 'normal' breakfast at home.

I'm proud of you too!! It is so hard to resist something, especially when kids get involved. You made a conscious effort to do the right thing and you succeeded!! It's also amazingly wonderful that your son is so supportive of you!! Great Job!!!!!
