Lauryn, you can do this. Little by little. Have you tried frozen grapes? Yummy goodness and takes a little longer to eat because your mouth needs time to thaw out. You are doing great!

Lorna - totally agree with the frozen grapes I love them, for when I get a sweet tooth late at night.

Lauryn - I think that Mental ranks a little higher in my book, because if you dont have the mental you will never take time for the physical. But the physical workout do help with a boost for the mental.

Well got day 2 of the shred it, and it still kicked my butt, however I was able to do a few more jumping jacks today.

Plus I did something huge today. I put up post its around the apartment with my goal weights for each of the following 6 weeks. The reason this is big, is because it actually has numbers on them that state my weight. Which I have not shared with my hubby in at least 2 years yikes....... Well it is out there for the world to see and I am going to get it down!!

Have a great afternoon ladies and try to eat healthy tonight!

I am back to my old positive me . I am so happy. Before my depression, this is how I felt everyday. Once the depression kicked in a year ago, it was dark. Now my meds are finally adjusted correctly and my therapy is helping me so much. It may run me over $100 a month, but a good life is worth that amount of money, no matter how strapped I am. Mental health is JUST as important as physical health, maybe even more so. What do you think? Mental or physical? They are strongly related, I know.

It's so funny the difference a day makes.
I'm back to my lowest low.
Going to see my shrink this evening at 5:15.
I don't feel strong enough to handle my heartbreak.
I just want it to stop.

On a brighter note however, my weight is getting back into check.
164.4 this morning. Down from earlier this week. Binging on health foods is truly helping.

    Hello ladies,

Laurym - sorry about the change in feelings, but GREAT job on the eating front. Try to get in a walk outside today, I find that always helps to refresh me. I hope you heart starts to heal and your smile returns soon.

Kristin - Nice job on the work out, level 3 seem so far away for me on shred but I plan to get there! I can feel it working so I know that it is making changes.

AFM: Loving today, dd is going to daycare in about a hour and then I have a little bit of time befor I have to go to work, kinda crazy work schedule this week, however we are trying to get dd used to her new daycare schedule. So I get to go to the store all by myself!!!!!! Yippee I love shopping by myself the little things that make me happy.

Then home to do shred and get my meals ready for the rest of the day so I stay on track, so far doing great this week, have been under calorie goal both days so far YEAH.

Have a great day ladies check in later,

    Tracy

    Hi all-

I just binged at lunch... I made homemade zucchini bread last night for my sister-in-law. However the recipe makes 2 loaves, and I've almost got that whole second loaf polished off in less than 24 hours. NO MORE ZUCCHINI BREAD this season... Anybody have any healthy zucchini recipes since I still have 2 huge ones to use up?

Lauryn - I'm so sorry to hear you're not feeling your best. I know your knee is hurting you too, but I agree with Tracy. If you can get out for a quick walk, you might feel a little better. Keep your chin up, and know that we're all here for you!! :flowerforyou:

Kristin - Love your new photo. Your daughter is beautiful!!

Cathy - Congrats, how exciting! Good for you!

The weekend is almost here... Friends from Chicago are coming down tomorrow evening. They have a 2 year old English Bulldog coming down to play with my 2 year old boxer. Doggie madness at my house this weekend!

Lindsey - I know how it goes when something taste so good, once you have a bite there is no stopping. I love any sort of breads. Have fun with all the puppy madness, I am sure they will have fun playing with each other.

AFM: I went grocery shopping today and tried to be very good, I made sure not to get stuff that would make me take a nose dive, no mexican food for the next few weeks, I seem to never be able to stop when I start. Plus I made sure to make a run to the local bread store and got some high fiber bread and got there schedule of when they make the low calorie bread. The only problem is it smelled so good, but I resisted there free samples, trying my best to stay on track.. I keep telling myself I deserve better every time I want to eat something I should not.

Well got to get ready to do my shred dvd, and then hit the shower. I work the closing shift tonight so I go in at 3 today. So DH will be picking up dd from daycare, that reminds me have to make some dinner for the two of them to reheat when they get home. Trying to save a few dollars instead of them eating out, plus this way they might even get some veggies in.

    Take care ladies,
    Tracy

Lauryn - BIG HUGS!!!! The emotions of feeling like your heart is being ripped out by the father of your child can be extreme. I went through that. I can tell you that although you never completely heal, the scar becomes less prominent. I am watching another friend go through it now and my heart aches for her as it brings up my own feelings of sadness and pain from my own experience. We are here for you always!

Cathy - How did your swearing in go? You must be busy! Getting ready for your nephew's weekend visit?

Tracy - Awesome job on the shopping. Forethought will definitely help in your resolve.

LHuffman24 - Oh homemade zucchini bread. So yummy. Just incorporated healthy breads back into my diet. Hard to be moderate when it comes to nice, warm, yummy bread.

Kristin - Shred AND running. You rock...as always.

    B - Missin' ya.

amyls8711 - how's the exercising going? Slow and steady...

    AFM:
Well, the scale is going down. I think it was an aberration and water gain on Wednesday. Of course, the fact that it would be there on the day I was weighing in is frustrating. But I am going to try to be good this weekend and maybe see a REAL weight loss for next week. Got into a pair of pants last night I haven't been able to wear for a year. Still a little snug, so I didn't say anything, although inside a little happy. Then hubby asked that I wear them again tonight on our date as he said they looked good. Made me feel good that he noticed without me having to say anything.

That is probably it for me until after the weekend. Maybe one more quick check in. Have a great one ladies.

    good morning,

lula...great on the pants. yes, swearing was good. don't know if nephew is coming this weekend.

well, once again my checking debt card trouble. went to taco bell the other night and there was a second debt from my card there. different amount. taco bell says it's not them, it's the banks fault. they didn't even have an amount of purchase for 15.90. so i need to go to the bank and get a statement it came out of my account and than to taco bell. they said they would give me the money back once it came out.

not in a good mood today.

    Good morning gals!

Well...had another great night last night! Ran and shredded again!! It was FABULOUS! And I ended up about 200 calories UNDER my limit for the day...success!! Today will be iffy...heading to the lake after work with Kadence and a friend, then need to figure out something for dinner (I haven't thawed anything). Hoping to get in a run or maybe even just a walk this evening...probably won't shred tonight as my abs are KILLING me. But we shall see...

On another note...Kadence is ELEVEN MONTHS OLD today!!!!!!!! I can't believe how big she is!! And I don't know how much I'm been sharing with you guys, but she is now walking like a champ (actually trying to run most of the time) and is really working on her talking! She says "mommy", "daddy", "kitty", what sounds like "thank you" (yes...working on the manners!), and she says "mo" for more and does the sign! It's CRAZY!!! Plus she babbles ALL the time and is constantly trying to copy you!! I LOVE IT!!!!!! By far the greatest parts of being a mommy!!! Makes my heart melt!!!

ANYways...need to get started on some work! I'll check back later!

Hey guys!! I'm back. I went to ATL for my board exam and I think it went well. :flowerforyou: I know I did my absolute best! OH, and I PASSED that surgery test I had been studying for and took 2 weeks ago! yay! go me! ...hmmm.... funny it seems that I am taking a test every other week.

I am back in town now, and studying for my last national exam this year... taking it August 25... so I have to get to work... lol. I am making a goal to study 8 hrs a day (at least) and work out every day!

Thank Lauryn( I saw your old post but didn't have internet) I haven't gotten the lump checked out again yet. but I have an appointment coming up. Staying optimistic about it. !

I am doing the Beck Diet Solution (I think my sister, Drtamm-remember her!!, told some of you guys about it) and I need a diet/accountability partner :blushing: Basically just someone who I can say, "today I made good food choices... or today I ate 14 hamburgers LOL. But if I can't find anyone... I might use the ENTIRE group for it! llol. I need to get on the ball with my weight loss, so I need accountability. If I have to choose the group, hope you guys don't mind reading my diet/fitness logs.

I'll be back later guys! I am about to workout before I start my studying for the day!

    happy 11 month Birthday Kadence!

Kristin - wow 11 months old that is great, they are so much fun. Enjoy every minute they go by so fast.

Cathy - hang in there hun, I hope everything get resolved quickly. Just enjoy and relax this weekend.

AFM: Today has been good, Abby had speech and a OT screening and both went well. Plus for the first day in 4 days I am not sore, so maybe this body of mine is getting used to the shred. I will be doing it again today, but I dont think I will get it in until tonight after work, to much house work to do until then.

Still doing good on the food side, indulged last night and got a sub sandwich but still stayed under my calories so that was good. Plus did not eat the whold 6 inch sub, listened to body and stopped when I was full. That is a new feeling for me hope to keep it up.

    Have a great weekend ladies.

Good morning everyone! My computer was out of order again! Drats! It is back again and I am happy about that. Just read the posts trying to catch up.
Lauryn- I fell on my right knee going up the stairs as well. No bruise but it still hurts after about a month. Swelling on the inside around the nerves. Ice is the key and anti inflams. (Alieve) I hope all goes well with your mental health. You have been going through soooo much. You are strong and when you come out on the other side of this you will be even a greater person!
Kristen- 11 months old! Wow! How cute is that baby!
Tiff- congrats on all your exams. You are doing fantastic!
Cathy- hope all the $$$$ stuff gets settled. It is so frustrating. Put something on that burn.... OUCH!
Lindsey- Cut your z-bread into serving sizes, wrap tightly, put into a freezer bag and freeze it. Z-bread freezes really well and is soooo yummy.
Tracy- good job and listening to your body. It is always difficult!
Lorna- That is soooo sweet what your husband said. Listen- he knows you best! Good for both of you.

AFM- I still struggle with water intake. Gotta find out why! I started work on thursday... Meeting until Tuesday and students come back on Thursday. It seems so early for the school year to start. I have so much to do to get my art room ready. Making breakfast so I will chat later.

The dogs had a blast playing together this weekend. I think my dog is a little depressed now that Tyson left... She's probably going to sleep all day today though!

The weekends are really hard for me in terms of eating healthy. Mexican for dinner both Friday and Saturday night, plus frozen custard and lunch at an Irish Pub on Sunday. I did get a 6 mile run in Sunday morning (training for a half-marathon) but I'm not sure that really countered any of the foods I ate! We'll see in the morning I guess.

I'm going to start planning out my foods better, and like Kristin (and Tracy), I think I'll start posting my plans on here.

B - Kashi Go Lean Crisp, skim milk, peach
S - Cottage Cheese with tomatoes from my garden (heaven...)
L - Turkey on Aunt Millie's Light Bread with mustard, lettuce, and tomatoes, Oikos Greek Yogurt with caramel, grapes
    S - 1/2 cup Pistachios
D - Leftovers from the weekend, probably a chicken/black bean enchilada (I think the tortilla chips are gone, so that's good!)

Workout - Core Camp class at the gym plus a 2 mile run
