Hello everyone just wanting to introduce myself. This isn't my first time on MFP but last time I wasn't committed and it lasted 2 weeks. This time I hope to make it work.
I am 39, mother of 2 from worcestershire. I logged in for the first time last week at 21st. It's not good. I am 5ft 11 with a BMI of 39. dress size 22/24 but not for much longer now.
Anyone else out there starting with a big lot of weight to beat? I have been reading a lot about emotional eating and it fits the bill with me, food is comfort, food is something to do, I love to cook and create all sorts of food, watch food on the telly, read about food, as if i'm not busy enough already with 2 kids and 4 part time jobs.
I lost 5lb my first week and I really didn't try that hard, i promised myself all i would do to start was record my food and not change anything. By the end of day 1 I found that the very act of getting it recorded helped me feel more positive and i have been able to make healthier choices. Yes i'm not perfect, today at a friends I ate 4 biscuits. I'm not going to beat myself up because the previous me would have eaten half the packet.
I'm finding my portion sizes are beginning to come down naturally and i'm not as hungry this week.
Anyway thats me. Hello
