Best Cross-Training Shoes

So I've been using my running shoes for my 30 Day Shred workouts and I know I should be using a good pair of cross-trainers for more support. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good pair of cross-trainers?

Thanks!

There are a bunch of brands that are great (New Balance, for example. I've heard some good things about some Asics) but one of the biggest things is making sure you get the shoe that is right for your foot. What one person finds really good for them may not work for you. There are some great places, like here there's Fleet Feet, which will measure your foot properly, check your walk, and get the shoe that has the proper padding for your foot. Certain padding types can exacerbate a slight misstep you may naturally have. My story: got some shoes that a runner told me were awesome, but my shins and ankles KILLED me in 10mins. Went to FF and got the shoes for my feet, no more problems. So make sure that what ever you think may sound good, actually is for you. :)

    Happy exercising!

I used to go have my foot filmed and have pieces put in the shoes for what I needed more support in. These days I'm poor and these seem to fit the bill for me....Saucony Excursion TR's. So comfortable. Its like working out on a pile of pillows.

Whatever you do, get a good pair of cross-trainers, NOT running shoes.

The best trainers I've had of late are Saucony Grid Virtues. It's the only cross-trainer that Saucony makes. LOVE THEM. Good cushioning and great lateral support.
