    I think she's awesome!

My only fear of lifting so late in pregnancy would be birthing the baby at the bottom of a squat.

Saw this story yesterday on FB. Liked it.
Saw the backlash. Was reminded that sometimes people are just plain HATERS!

A day later... Still like it, and pray that if/when I am 8 months pregnant I have the motivation to still be as active as I am now.

Kudos to this lady! She kicks major *kitten*!

I lifted all through all my pregnancies, I don't see the big deal.

My only concern is this: I'm curious as to how the increased size of the lower abdomen affects her center of gravity/equilibrium and range of motion during specific exercises. Would it make her more prone to lower back injuries as a result? I don't know, but I would see it as a concern.

As long as it's not new to her, and she has proper form, she's good to go!

I wish I had that motivation while I was pregnant. My first, I thought it was a free-for-all and gained 50lbs. My 2nd, I was a LITTLE more cautions and gained 30.. lol

She looks better pregnant than I do any day of the year!

Funnily enough I haven't kept up as much as I would have liked but I was at a festival in town the other day (oh and I am 36wks pregnant with no.3) and there was a mock highland games and they had kettle bell Over head presses and the competition was to see who could do the most reps. Different weights for both men and women. Anyway, not only am I uber competitive but I love to swing my kettlebell about so I thought I'd give it a shot. I have sciatic problems with this pregnancy so was hobbling about on crutches and they certainly looked at me rather oddly but let me take part. Lo and behold I won the female competition with the most reps - 6 of the 24kg kb.
It reminded me that I should be doing it more and have been doing a 10-15 mins kb workout routine since every morning and feeling great with it.

I can agree with the first part of that. Exercising while pregnant like that probably is safe and healthy but only for an experienced lifter/athlete who was already amazingly fit going into it and has a fundamental understanding of the right and wrong way of doing things. If you didn't have all of these things working for you going into it, then it's best to wait until after the delivery.

Has anyone noticed how bulky she is?

As long as her doctor is good with it, that's all that matters...I wish I could have continued to work out during my last pregnancy but I had so many medical issues that it wasn't in the cards for me...

Your centre of gravity would shift, however, you don't suddenly get a massive bump straight away. Training regularly I'd assume she's used to excellent form and would gradually adjust to the changes in her body. That combined with a lowering of weight, and not pushing herself to the limits (no 1RM's etc) would mean that she's probably better able to control the weight that one would think.

Lower back aches etc are common in pregnancy. I've never carried a child, but wouldn't strengthening your back (pre and during pregnancy) make you less likely to injure it?

Here's another tid bit of info for you... In order for her to be this muscular/fit or as some have said "bulky" she has to be eating a great deal of protein..Now even lean protein has some fat-the fat and protein, once again help her child along with the exercise-added benefits for both momma and baby.

I don't see the problem. My gut looks just like that when I do squats! :)

I'm amazed she can do any of this. When I was 8 months pregnant I could no longer put my own socks on. Also, how does she not just tip right over? I felt so tippy when I was pregnant.
