Anyone from Montana....?

Is there anyone here from Montana, more specifically the Libby area, that is doing/ has done the Scenic Tour Of Kootenai River (STOKR) bike ride? I am aiming to do it in May 2012, but I have no friends that want to do it with me. How about anyone else outside of Montana? If you have done it or know someone who has, or are wanting to do it, let me know! I am looking for encouragement and support, and if possible, a lady in the Libby area who maybe wants to be my cycling buddy? For those of you interested in this 2 day, beautiful, scenic 98-mile-ride (there is an alternate shorter route for the first day ride) through Kootenai River country, go to www.stokr.org :happy: Happy cycling!

I too am from MT., Vida in the northeast corner! I do not bike much but LOVE fitness, I have NOT missed a day since Christmas, my goal is 365 days this year!!! I wish you the best at finding a partner to bike with but if you can't do not let that stop you from achieving your goals! Good luck!

Well hi there fellow Montanan! I will definitely keep striving for my goal, and I will do the bike tour even if I have no one I know to go with. I am sure I will make friends during those two days And I am sure out of 400 people, I am bound to find someone I can stick with (I really don't want to ride all alone... scary!). I'm not from Montana but my husband and I spent several days at Glacier National Park on a northwest raodtrip vacation in 2003 - I left a piece of my heart there.

The bike ride challenge sounds great, wish I could join in!

I have heard that Glacier is beautiful... I am sorry to say that I haven't been there yet, and I have lived in this area for about 5 years :blushing: Someday I will make it that way though!
