ABS Diet

Hi,
I am walking six miles daily, watching my calories(even though I have been slipping a lot lately) and trying really hard to stop bashing myself for not losing anymore weight than I did two to three weeks ago. I have te abs diet books in my home and tey are just collecting dust. Has anyone done it? Is it easy to stick to? I've read the book several times and honestly it looks easy enough but can I incorporate it into my daily home life (I mean is it a good thing for my kids and hubby to share with me). No I don't mean putting my kids to diet, but it seems sensible, nuts, fruits, veggies, wholesome foods..... Etc....
Is it cost effective? What results did you get? Any tips?
