How do you calculate your calorie deficit?

I have been asked this question a lot recently and the answers I have given were:

1. In Michelle Bridges Crunch Time she says to go no lower than 1200 per day. So this is where I started from.

2. You can calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) says mine is 1400 per day and eat that and only have a deficit from exercise. https://www.michellebridges.com.au/bmr-calculator/

3. You can work out your TDEE

4. Start at 1200 and add on 100 calories per month until you get to your goal weight and that means you can eat more when youre there.

5. Use MFP goals and they make a recommendation dependant upon how much you want to lose.

How do you guys calculate it?
