Diet Destroyers

Hey everyone

Just wondering what things (external factors, or internal) that affect your diet negatively. For me, if I'm really tired & haven't exercised, I turn to "comfort" food - potato chips, pop, etc.

What things destroy your diet/lifestyle change?

Weekends and the NFL.... This is why I lift like a man. So I can enjoy those things without worrying.

It's mostly the unplanned things... like when I'm out running errands later than expected or end up getting caught up in doing something else. I usually make excellent choices for myself, but the unplanned can derail me a bit.

Stress! I am SUCH a stress-eater, it's awful! My job and school are both stressful, so I'll justify eating ice cream, or cookies, or whatever.. it's awful. :(

For me it's mostly boredom. Stress comes into it too.

Being sick. Like I am now. I shouldn't have had that apple pie flavored bagel, but I regret nothing!

I'm the same way.. when I'm sick I don't work out and my eating isn't as great.

Also around TOM my eating is not so stellar sometimes.
  • For me it's other people's comments. My coworkers all like to snack on things like M&Ms, pretzels, sugary pop, chips, etc and politely offer me some, but I say no. They tease me for not snacking with them. I'm like, really, how old are you?! But yeah it still gets to me and makes me feel like an outsider. Especially when they are all skinny and I am just the type of person who really has to watch what they eat in order to not gain weight, as I gain easily. Kinda sucks.

... But then I have a delicious orange or read an article about food additives and feel much better. :) Haha.
