broke my old bed... in the market for a new one
I really like the idea of a Japanese platform bed and a japanese roll up futon(Im all about being minimalist these days)
Craigslist is coming up empty and besides who wants someone elses old futon anyhow?
Anyone else have a setup like this and can give a good site or place to shop around for one?

Oh no .. never buy one used.
Do you need soft or firm?0 -
Soft is better... I think those japanese futons are pretty forgiving though0

No, no they're not. Dad had one and I had to sleep on it when I went to stay. They are filled with cotton. That's quite firm. You might not be old enough to remember capok, but if you do - that's how firm. no give at all.
Not saying don't get one. If you like sleeping on, say, the floor with a few blankets on it, then this is definitely for you.0 -

My brother has one of those thermopedic memory foam beds. It is amazing. I toss and turn, sometimes like a soft bed sometimes hard, but his bed I just sink into and sleep. Would definitely suggest trying one if you get a chance.0
