need advice for appetizer time

Today is our book club meeting. Everyone brings an appetizer to share and wine for themselves. I love appetizers and thus eat too many high calorie things. I need some help to avoid eating too much.

Here is my plan. I could use some more tips.
- go for a 5 mile run today. (normal exercise and today is my run day)
- lower cal for breakfast and lunch
- low cal/protein snack before the meeting so I'm not starving when I walk in (Greek yogurt and an apple)
- bring sparkling mineral water to drink. (Still plan to have 1 glass of wine)
- bring hummus and carrots so there is something yummy and lower cal to eat.
- take a picture of my plate before I eat so I am aware of what I am eating and I can log it.

Any thoughts? Need help.

p.s. lost 26 lbs since January and have 4 more to go.
p.p.s. book club is only once a month but have the same appetizer problem at other events.

I'd say just bring a bunch of healthy snacks/appetizers for yourself and snack on them throughout the meeting.

Good idea. I can bring a snack plate just for me.
