Hi all,
Ive recently bought a cross trainer and the calories for 30mins on here is in the 300s and the calories the machine is saying ive burnt is in the 600s! So my question is how accurate are the calorie counters on these machine or should I stick with what MFP is giving me?
Many thanks in advance

Machines tend to wildly overestimate, mfp tendsto overestimate somewhat. I'd take mfp minus about 20%,.0

I burn, according to the cross trainer, 650 calories in 60 minutes. When entering exercise calories into MFP ill enter half of that and eat that back. In this instance 325. Then, I know I can safely eat back 325 knowing full well I've probably burnt a little bit more.
Works for me hope it helps you!0 -
Thank you, I haven't been eating back many of the calories anyway but it does look nice when it says Ive burnt loads :laugh:0
