NSV - I just ran 5 miles!!!!

So I've been doing P90X for the past two months and hadn't really done any running because the last few times I tried to work on my running I ended up with injuries. I'm in a recovery week this week and decided to try a run, just to see how it went. I got on the treadmill, set a 5 mph pace and started running. I hit 30 minutes and wasn't tired, so I kept running. I ended up running for an hour strait, no stops. I wasn't even winded when I was done. That's something I haven't been able to do since college! I have such and endorphin high right now I'm practically giddy  . I'm pretty sure my legs are going to be very unhappy with me tomorrow, and I could feel the blister building by minute 45, but no way am I going to regret being able to do that again!

Congrats and keep going. Use this high to get you into running next time.
In April I was running (wheezing) round 5k in 37 mins. Since that point I have been setting PB each week. My latest on say at 27min. I shaved a whole ten minutes off. This motivation to beat the block even if it is by a sec keeps me running through wind, rain and even snow! Oh, and of course knowing I'm getting my body in shape and zapping those cals.

This is it, you can call yourself a runner ;) xx

Thank you! I want to start running outside again, but the weather in my area doesn't really allow for that over the summer. I am thinking, however, that I need to find a 5K somewhere at the very least to sign up for! I'm pretty sure my school has one for something in the fall.....
