Calorie Intake

Okay guys, so I'm a bit new to the whole calorie counting thing. I have my goal set to 1000-1200 calories a day, but when I excercise it tells me that I've earned extra calories. So should I be eating more if I've excercised, or should it be 1200 only? Very confused...

the idea is to eat the extra exercise calories to preserve the original calorie deficit it calculated for you when you put that you were sedentary and wanted to lose 2 lbs/week (or whatever).
In view of calorie overestimates some opt to eat only half the extra from exercise.0 -
Also, I recommend buying a heartrate monitor to get a more accurate idea of your caloric burn.0

I have the Polar F6F HRM which was $100 when I bought it 4 years ago. I usedit with every workout, and only now just need to change the battery. I think it may even be less expensive now.0
