Know anything about shakes, protein and whey?

I want to learn about this stuff. I know its good for you, and have considered having them but I don't even know where to begin.
I'm not going to doubt them, everyone I know that drinks them and incorporates it into their recipes is in top shape.
So anyone got any shake/protein/whey for dummies info? haha ^.^

You don't necessarily need the protein shakes. You can get all your protein requirements from food. Individuals that have intense exercise routines (resistance training) typically require more protein. Protein shakes or bars can help them meet their protein goals for the day.
The amount you require depends on your current weight and activity level. Somewhere between .5g and 1g/lb of body-weight.
Also, MFP sets the protein level too low. You can customize your macro settings to fit your needs.0
