I am using the TDEE-%20 method for my daily calorie intake.
Female- 25yrs
168.8lbs
5'3
BMR- 1482
TDEE-%20 - 1630
currently set on light exercise. I have set my Cals on MFP at 1500 because that is enough to satisfy me during the day.
question is.. I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys 4 & 2. I am on my feet a lot during the day chasing after the youngest or doing daily housework but during nap time I do tend to take a break and sit down, watch tv, play on computer.. etc.
Starting tomorrow (Monday) I will be going to the gym 5 days a week. MWF mornings will be 30-60 mins of Cardio on the stationary bike and Tues & Thurs evenings I will be working with a personal trainer doing strength training for an hour. Should I change my activity level on my TDEE and if so what do I change it to? Also I know changing the activity level will up my calorie intake for the day but I really am fine on 1500 a day and don't think I will burn that many calories a day doing those exercises. Any help would be appreciated!

I'd leave it to light exercise, personally. Maybe 100 calories more than that. I walk 5 miles a day and that just puts me as lightly active on my fitbit. I'd make sure to eat every calorie though.0

I would leave it at light exercise but actually eat my calories rather than saying you're doing TDEE - 20% but actually eating less than that.0
