Help!!

So two nights ago I went out for some drinks I had way to many!! I never drink like maybe once a year if that but I was drunk now two days later I jumped on the scale this morning and I'm 7 pounds heavier!! I almost cried I didn't eat bad while drinking and had probably 5 or 6 mixed drinks how did I mess my weight loss up so much I'm devestated!

Hey there... alcohol can make you retain water, so it probably is all water weight. Keep your diet "clean" and you'll be back on your real weight within a few days. Drink plenty of water and try to sweat a lot to get rid of it faster.

I'm guessing it's nearly all water retention. Alcohol is extremely dehydrating, and if you don't make up for that consumption with additional water, your body will hold onto any water like nobody's business. Eating a lot of salty foods will do the same thing. It's incredibly difficult to gain that much in fat from one session of drinking.

Edit: In other words, up your water intake, and it'll drop off in the next week or so.

I bought the best (non-digital) scale that I could afford, as the digital was ALWAYS wrong. With a digital scale, I could gain 5 pounds in a matter of seconds. Thinking I was safe with a non-digital; I ate great, lost weight regularly. I had one off day and the scale told me I gained 5 pounds back within 24 hours. I ate badly, very, very badly, for the next three days, and the scale revealed that I was down 6 1/2 pounds. My scale is a lying liar. Weigh yourself in a few days and see if you have a L. Liar scale. I finally set my scale with the one at the doctor's office, so at least I can double check. Good luck to you.

The only accurate scale is the balance beam type you see in your doctor's office and they need to be calibrated once a year.

I agree, go with the balanced scale.

It's not fat. Promise. Get back on track and it'll be gone in a week.

Sounds like a good night out! :drinker:
