Summer Transformation - 15 pounds down and muscle gained!

At the beginning of the summer, for my college graduation present, a friend and I went to Italy for two weeks (compliments of her parents!) and when I got home, she posted pictures from the trip. It was these pictures that really showed me how much weight I had gained. Also, a picture was taken before a fraternity formal I attended with a friend that showed me just how unhealthy I really was. It was those pictures that inspired me to make a change. Since then, I have been eating healthy, running a lot more, and I have joined a gym and started weight lifting. Although I have only lost 15 pounds, I am proud of the change I have made. I still have a ways to go, but I already feel so much more confident in myself. Just yesterday I bought my first bikini! I still want to lose a bit more weight and I definitely want to build more muscle, but I wanted to share my success so far. It can be hard to see it in yourself, but I've found that taking pictures and comparing the old to the new has really helped!
