Any knee tendinopathy sufferers out there?!

I got mine 5 months ago. Went from running ~4km a day to 8-10km suddenly. In combination with doing this every day and running incorrectly, I was an idiot not to think it would stuff up something in my body. It's been a few months off of running and then my physio told me I can start doing 1min run/1min off sets every 2nd day and increase every time unless it hurts during the day in between in which case I decrease the sets.

Recently I got up to 9 sets with minimal pain but suddenly I've had a major set back for no apparent reason where my knee is sore all the time in between the days and during the run now so I've stopped altogether again. Not only that but now night knee pain has developed and a different kind of pain too!!! I'm getting so frustrated and angry to have made a small progress only to have it all taken from me for a reason I don't even know?!? Can't do cardio, just limited types of strength training and I feel so fat and disgusting.

Does anyone else suffer from a knee tendinopathy? How long did it take you to recover and did you completely heal??? I'm so devastated about this. I feel like I'll never recover at this rate ):

I'm having a lot of knee problems too, but I have no answers for you. There's probably a lot of people like us that are just resting but haven't sought any medical advice. ::hugs::

I had a bout with patellar tendonitis for about a year a few years ago. Mine healed up great once I figured it out, but I can't do certain exercises any more or it will come back. I've never been a runner, so I don't know if that would be one of them. Mainly, I can't do leg presses or squats, etc. I have to modify yoga poses where I feel it too much. I can't do a lot of stairs every day (or would need a brace). That sort of thing.

I've had all kinds of tendinopathy (I'm hypermobile), and mine usually only doesn't clear up within several months if I'm doing something that still aggravates it. Is there anything you might not connect as stressing on your knees that you might still be doing?

I hope it's not running that bothers yours too much! You might ask a pro about a specialty support for while you try to run. Or it might just need a little longer to heal. Still do heat and/or ice as your physio recommends. Good luck!
