I did a bootcamp class at my gym two days ago and soon after the class I noticed that my back felt like it needed to be popped between my shoulder blades. The next morning I had a really bad crick in my neck and upper back. I am guessing that when we did Lateral raises I must have strained something to cause it. Is there a secret to not straining you neck when doing them. we did 4 sets of 10 and I used 12lb weights because I was try to take it up a notch. Should I just lower the weight back down till I am stronger?

Yes, absolutely lower the weight. You should not be hurting yourself. It should be challenging but not to the point that you are injuring yourself.0
