My name is Katie, and I worked as a personal trainer until last August. Somehow after quitting my job at the gym I jumped from a fit 125 to an unhealthy 160. I know the rules of weight loss and staying in shape, but somehow lost sight of it all until almost a year later when I realized that none of my clothes fit and I felt generally blah. It's funny how it all creeps up on you, yeah?

But I digress.

I'm down eight pounds and looking to lose whatever gets me back to healthy. Support and friends would be much appreciated :]

Hi Katie, welcome to MFP! Yes, I know what you mean about the weight creeping on, but at least we are doing something about it now, one minute the weights okay, the next, increased lol

One pound at a time katie and before you know it you will be back to your fit self again!
  • It's funny how fitness folks can even fall into the "trap" of losing track of their weight. I've taught aerobics/step/kickboxing/body scupting in the past and am in very good "inside" cardiovascular shape, but if I don't track my food, my "outside" shape suffers!

It's great that you're back on track - I'm sure you'll have success!!!
