Getting kinda hungry... I think the first week is the hardest though. I'm thinking about eating a decent sized meal and then going for a run to work off the calories.

This is going to be a tough week though, I can tell.

if you look at your "diet" as a limited term thing, you are almost certainly doomed to failure in the long term. The only thing that seems to really work is to change your eating habits/lifestyle "forever". You need to get into the habit of eating "healthy" (for the most part) and "mindfully" all the time. If you don't, once the 6 months are up, you will probably fall back into your old habits and gain everything you've lost back.

This. "Diets" are not the way to go unless you can see yourself sticking to it for the rest of you life. It's a change of lifestyle. Not a diet. Exercising is a HUGE part of losing weight along with eating healthy.

Eat food instead of drinking your calories?

    ^^^ What she said!

This needs to be a "lifestyle" change - NOT a diet that has a begin / end date. If you have an end date, like the previous poster stated, you will end up gaining back what you lost and then some.

    What is your 'diet' plan?

Might I recommend you see a nutritionist? Eat healthy foods, drink LOTS of water and lose the RIGHT way. This way can turn into a lifestyle change that can last for the rest of your life and if done properly will NOT leave you hungry (as you stated in your post)!

    Best of luck... :drinker:

Try making omelettes with one whole egg and 2 egg whites.

Use low fat cooking spray and fry off some onions and lots of mushrooms and peppers and maybe some ham. Add the beaten eggs and voila decent sized omelette that is healthy but filling.

Weight Watchers do a really nice malted danish loaf, you could even have a couple of slices of this toasted as only 51 calories a slice.

Look at making your favourite dishes into healthy versions - I do chicken curry, lasagne and spaghetti bolognaise, I use either my own recipes or Slimming World recipes. Lots of ideas online and here on the community forum.

You are NOT on a diet, its healthier living for the rest of your life, nothing is out of bounds just eat the not so good stuff in moderation and find an exercise that you like and know you can stick to.

    Drink plenty of water.

Small changes make a big difference so look at what you used to eat and see what you can do to make it better.

Log everything even on a bad day so you know where you've gone over and can exercise to work the extra calories off.

    Good luck x
