Any random variation of general caloric deficit will result in weight loss.
Apparently the key now is to come up with something slightly different and slap your name on it.
Try my plan: Day 1: Caloric deficit 250. Day 2: Caloric deficit 450. Day 3: Caloric deficit 0 (ERMAHGERD CHEAT DAY). Day 4: Caloric deficit 250. Day 5: Caloric deficit 250. Day 6: Caloric deficit 0. Day 7: Caloric Deficit 450.
You should lose close to 0.5 pounds/week, even with 2 "cheat" days. It's amazing.0 -
That's nothing new. it's carb cycling and it's been around forever.
Carb cycling worked for me for a few months, but I'm not very carb resistant so i hit plateau... changed the days of my carb intake to once a week and Im still losing0 -
I'm on my first week of the Turbo Cycle. I have read a lot of information prior to this on carb cycling, but his book and he and his wife are extremely motivational so I'm enjoying that. I appreciate the fact that even with low and high carb days he still has a calorie range you should be at for the day. I like the fact that he has 4 different carb cycling options. I'd be interested in hearing from others that have done his program and some insight into what their typical low and high days looked like from a meal plan perspective. In addition to the carb cycling, he also has some great tips for different exercise options. I especially like the 10 minute morning one.
Just a little background on me, I've lost over 100 pounds since 2010 and have had trouble continuing to lose. I can seem to maintain easily as long as I stay around 1200 - 1500 calories a day with a hour of cardio 6 days a week. I refuse to take medication to speed things along, I want to do this the right way. Eat less, Move More.... I have been doing this on my own and I know there is the right fit for me out there, I just need to find what works best for me. I have found that not everything works the same for everyone.0 -
Agreed- its just carb cycling. Works for some, not for me.
However- I'm glad that watching Chris' show brings awareness to some people. Trying ANYTHING is better than sitting around and getting bigger. I also love his attitude.0
