After kinda looking around and researching I have decided to stick to this for another try to be slim, toned and fit. (Height 5 5 Starting Weight 169lbs)
What i have realized tho is what works for you might not work for me everyones body IS different and the 1st step is to figure your body out and keep at it.
So what I decided to do is give myself from now till January, I would like to at least lose 1lb a wk.
What I want to do is workout 7 days a wk at least 1hr in the afternoon and really try for 1 more hr in the AM, better meal choices and snacks and keep portions on the small side of bad food (cause it is bound to happen)
I want to do an at home workouts. I have found some routines and some videos on youtube that I will be doing and I want to add running to the mix.
I just want your guy's input on all this.
Me and a friend and keeping eachother motivation and checking in with eachother everday see what we ate, make sure we work out so I think this time it will be easier to stick to.
I dont really update on MFP but I do love the community, and all the inspiration and hard work from other ppl and see their results, I think its my turn now too. Finally
Thanks for the inputs pps

You sound like me except I don't run for I have arthritis in the knees. I've had the shots in the right knee. Doc said not to even walk for exercise but to swim or bike. Those aren't options at this time. I do lots of dvd exercises.
I'm trying to workout daily for at least 30 min. and work my way up. I've gotten out of the routine and must make it a habit again.
I wish you success.0 -
Totally get back into it do what you can.
I always set my goal for an hr but usually stop after 30mins i get tired and man i am sweating buckets by then.
But I think this time around for me Ima push it as much as I can just to keep going longer, but maybe for the first month 30mins is a goal.0 -
BUMP ....
So I worked out last night, about 40 mins, jumping jacks, push ups, crunches, lunges, and weights.
I dont feel like what I did was much, I want to come up with a good well rounded routine that can be done at home.
What do you guys suggest?0 -

I tried Insanity for 1 day it was too difficult for me and I'm sure I would on injured myself lol
I also have tried the Jillian Michaels 30 DS and got all the way to the second level.
Now I'm just in search for something more to be doing at home.0 -
I am not sure why you gave up the first time but I will tell you that losing 1 lb / week when you have only 25 lbs to lose is not a sustainable or achievable goal without getting into the realm of unhealthy behavior. Additionally working out 7 days a week is counterproductive. You need to have some 'rest days' so that your body can heal - and you will also have to eat some of those calories back if you are using the MFP the way it is designed.
I would highly suggest that you read over the information that is available in the stickies in terms of healthy calorie / workout goals for someone with only a little bit of weight to lose. You have already tried this road once, it seems counterproductive to go down the road again doing the exact same things you were doing before that didn't work. Why not do something different this time?

Thanks Koldnomore I will look at it, its alot of info.
Well as of this week I have bumped up to 170lbs, I would like to be around 130lbs.
The difference now is 1. my weight is bumped up and I dont want to eventually hit 200lbs. 2. Now I am really thinking before I eat and I am controlling my portions. 3. and finally,I am pushing my self to do some type of workout every night.
Working out the 7 days a week, I want to do that in the begining just to keep me going because if I dont 1 day on 1 day off I will just end up taking a whole week off! I dont want to do that.
I want to lose weight and tone up, Im not sure how that works. Do I have to lose the weight first then start toning up or can I just work out and my body will do it at the same time???
Thanks everyone for the advise and comments0
