Any workout ideas after the Insanity programme?

I really need some inspiration on workouts out there. I am finishing Insanity soon but at a loss on what to do after. I am not keen on doing other home exercise programmes because I miss group exercises and outdoor stuff however I wonder whether the likes of Zumba and Body Pump (which I used to do regularly) or running will just not be able to match up to the intensity and then all the progress I've made so far will go to pot.

I was considering Crossfit but a friend of mine who is an ex-Crossfitter scared me with injury stories :(. Any ideas guys?

Does a gym near you offer bodyattack (another Les Mills program)? It's HIIT sports inspired aerobics and they change up the routine every 3 months or so, so it doesn't get boring. It's not an at home program and you couldn't do it every night. Other than that, I'd say give your body a break and see what it likes, but that's what I'd do and I'm not fitness expert.

Just try Crossfit and see what you think. If you don't like it you don't like it. It's not the end of the world.

I finished insanity, then worked on my running for a couple of months, once I run my 10k on Sunday, I will be re-doing insanity. Give your body a break and go back at it if you like

BodyPump will be intense enough - just pick a heavier barbell if the first session isn't tough enough! :D
  • Thanks guys much appreciated! Will probably spend the next few weeks post-Insanity exploring those options.
