Some of the many songs I listen to has a significant meaning to me and instantly draws a memory whenever I hear the song(s). To clairfy, I'm listing two on the top of my head.
Here Without You by 3 Doors Down
Mama, I'm Coming Home by Ozzy Osbourne.
The first song I wrote the lyrics word for word to my mother when I was deployed overseas back in 2004-2005 because the song expressed my undying love for my mother and even though I was far away, my love was just as strong. I get the lyrics were written in a romantic sense, but it displayed my love for my mother (and no, not anything like that). I'm her baby and she's my love.
The second song was played when I was on the Truman (same deployment) and Cap't Gigliotti came on the 1MC and announced we were heading home and the CNO awarded us with a Navy Battle "E" among other things because of a job well done. He then played the song over the 1MC for all to hear because it was appropriate at the time and we were coming home.
Now, that I've shared some of my treasured memories relating to music, what are some of yours and what special memory comes to mind every time you hear that certain song? List them and tell why. No limits on how many songs, either. I'm looking foward to seeing what everyone has to say!

One song that I have sung at karaoke to a couple of very special men in my life. Men who have made a huge difference in me becoming who I am now. Being there as friend, confidante, *kitten*-kicker when needed. The song is the the final big song from the musical "Wicked". It's called "For Good". It starts:
I've heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led to those who help us most to grow if we let them
And we help them in return
Well I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today because I knew you.
Like a comet pulled from orbit as it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder halfway through the woods
Who can say if I've been changed for the better
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good.0
