Food scale and weighing question

I'm looking to get a food scale. I found one I like, but it says it measures in kilograms. is that the same as grams. (yes dumb blonde moment happening here)

    There are 1000g in a kilogram.

    If it measures in kilos, I think its a person weight scale. A food scale should measure in grams.

    Check around. My food scale is digital and can be switched between grams, pounds, kilograms, ounces, fluid ounces (which sounds a bit bogus to me, so I don't use that setting ever), etc. It can read anything from a couple of grams up to nearly 5 kg (or nearly 10 lbs).

    Nothing bogus about fluid ounces its just a corresponding weight certain amount of of water imperial 28.4ml in the UK at 62 F.

    yes this one says it's can be switched between all those except grams. Guess I can keep looking.
