Calorie Goal Confusion

So... Are you supposed to go over your calorie goal at all? Or should you always stay slightly under? This has always confused me.

It is a goal to try to come close to hitting. Your goal has enough of a deficit built into it so that you lose weight. Consistently going under is not healthy. Consistently going over may cause you to not lose, depending on how much you are going over. Eat to the NET calories.0

I give myself 75 calories either way. If you go over by, say 58 calories, it won't make much of a difference.0
