Last year I lost about 40 lbs with diet, rigorous exercise, and a lot of help from MFP. I was fairly religious about logging calories (at least for a while) and the weight just seemed to drop off. I have found that diet, for my weight loss, is so much more important than exercise, although exercise is still necessary. Over the last 6 months I have gained back about 15 lbs so, two weeks ago, I started the Insanity workouts. I followed their diet for the first week but felt like it was too much protein for me, so I decided to get back on to MFP and do the 1200 calories + calories burned exercising which worked so well for me before. I haven't been religious about tracking the calories. I know that. But I have been staying within the allowed number of calories daily. I'm just a little bummed that I haven't made more progress in the weight loss yet. After 2 weeks last time I had lost at least 5 lbs. I did my fit test yesterday (essentially a test to track progress) and I was so much better than before, but I've only lost 1.5 lbs and a little under 6 inches. I can definitely tell a difference in the way I look, but I just want so much more! How do I keep up the motivation with such little progress in the weight loss department?
