Could this be a new revolutionary way to exercise using a ga

Hello everyone,
Many of you like our family have a Wii Fit and use it regularly. Some things are good, others are a little annoying.
Have any of you heard about the Xbox 360 Kinect sensor? I recently had the opportunity to see it in action at an electronics convention. It seems pretty amazing. If you enjoy the Wii Fit, I think you will be blown away (like I was); by the way The Kinect works.
It uses cameras and an infrared sensor to track your movements. No controller and no board!!!
Of course, it has games and all kinds of home theater stuff, but the demo I saw was for a fitness program called “Your Shape: Fitness Evolved.” It presents calories burned, a bunch of other real time data, and adjusts the workout based on your interaction with it. This thing reads your movements during exercise and provides instant feedback on adjusting what you are doing (i.e. raise your knees). – So cool!
Seems like I am somewhat trying to sell this thing, but I was really impressed.
Here is a link to information about the game and the system:

EA Sports is making Active 2.0 for the Kinnect as well, and will feature a wireless heart rate monitor (don’t know if Your Shape has one), they didn’t demo it.
They said the Kinect and fitness games are available in November, and I was wondering if anyone else has gotten an opportunity to see it in action?

Is this something we could buy as an addition to our already owned 360 or will it be a whole new system that needs to be bought? I would be interested if I didnt have to buy a whole new system. We really need to use our 360 for something other then watching movies and I want a WII but cant afford to buy the counsole and the wii fit so the 360 thing would be perfect.0

Yep they said you can buy the sensor seperately and connect it to any Xbox 360. Not sure how much it costs though.0
