You know that feeling....?

...... when you have just set out on a new exercise and healthy eating routine and less than a week in the motivation starts to wane and all you want to do is just go to bed and sleep and sleep and sleep cos you have no energy? That's how I'm feeling at the moment.
Even the fact that we've booked our work Christmas night out today for 6th December isn't spurring me on, knowing that I've got plenty of time to try and shift a few lbs and/or inches so that can buy a nice, slimmer fitting outfit. Even looking at the before and after photos for Insanity (I just started doing it last week) hasn't helped - well it did last week, but not over the last couple of days.
Maybe I need to take a week off work, sleep the whole time, get my energy levels back up and start over again?

Sounds more like you need to take a longer look at your routine/plan, anything you can't maintain isn't really going to work. Are you eating enough and giving yourself enough recovery between workouts? If it is just motivation lacking then you gotta figure out a way to get your head back in the game but if you really are feeling sluggish then that should not be the case you should feel awesome!0

Taking a week off is only going to make it harder for your to get the ball rolling again.
I hate getting up before 5 a.m. everyday to workout, and sure I'm tired, but I do it. You just have to get into a routine and make it a habit.
You have to start off slow with your workouts and slowly build up your time/endurance and intensity. You don't want to do too much too soon. As well, make sure you are eating enough.0 -
Going through bit of a stressful time at the moment, maybe that's what's zapping all my energy cos when I do the dvd, after the initial warm up, I do enjoy it - it's just getting round to doing it in the first place!
Might also be due to having to fit it around work and evening meal times, which would be ok if was just me, but there is my son to consider too, and don't want to do exercise too late as I like to have a shower and chill out before I go to bed.
I probably do need to plan things a bit more, stop whinging, give myself a kick up the butt and maybe check out the before and afters again!0 -
Can you get up earlier and do it in the morning? I like doing my walk in the morning since it gets my energy levels up for the day. You can also look for a dvd you can break up and do a few minutes a few times a day if one long workout is not fitting into your day.0

I'm not a morning person at all and if you saw the state I'm in after a workout - I look like a beetroot and am still sweating buckets nearly 1 hr later (and still quite pink) - it wouldn't be an option anyway!
My son started senior school 2 weeks ago and it means we now have to get up at 7.20am instead of 8.00am and it's a killer! How some of you guys can get up in what I'd class as the middle of the night and go to the gym etc, I don't know how you can do it - my hat goes off to you all!0
