I have had both a Relion and Omron brand. Both are of equal qualities. Where I am at the Relion is cheaper than the Omron. Relion was featured in Consumer Reports as a best buy. The one I am using now is the Relion one.
I have never had any problems with either brand and from what I have heard, they upper arm ones are more accurate than the wrist ones.0 -
I tried the omron, but I found it was not accurate at all. It consistantly read way too low to be accurate. It was reading 100/70 when the Dr. and the ones at the drug stores were usually reading 135 to 140 over 90. So I never really used it because I found it unreliable.0

I have an Omron that I purchased several years ago. I don't use it as much now, but it is good quality and reliable.

Stores 200 reading. Can store readings for multiple users. IIRC, from when I researched them, Omron has a good history when it comes to health care products.0 -
Thanks for the advice, sounds like Im looking into an Omron, even thought it wasn't 100%0

The pharmacist doing my pre-diabetes class said to get the Omron. Yes, you do want upper arm. Mine seems to give similar readings to the Drs office.
Think this MAY be the one I have, but I got it locally at Kroger, and it was only about $30.

I use an Omron every morning to make sure my bp isn't too low and to check my resting heart rate. It's been reliable and pretty accurate for me.0
