Free Breakfast/Lunch at Work = TDEE Problems?

Just started a new job that provides breakfast and lunch for free to employees. This is a great perk, but just wondering if any others have successfully navigated how to stick to TDEE when eating foods that they don't know the calorie count/metrics for? My recommended calorie goal is 1700/day.
Background: I was skeptical of using TDEE earlier this summer and decided not to eat as many calories as it said I should and noticed my weight loss started to stall - of course when I began eating closer to that number, I started losing again, so I want to be sure that I stick close to that number when eating 2 meals at work and 1 at home and not over or underestimate.
Any thoughts? - should I just log everything in MFP and rely on whatever estimations are in the system if I happen to eat one of the prepared entrees that my job provides in addition to the healthy snacks, fruits/salads and desserts. The thought did cross my mind that I could just forgo utilizing the work cafeterias and only eat food from home or foods that I know how many calories are in them - but I would like to take advantage of having free meals if I can navigate accurately meeting my recommended calorie goals.
