20 grams of protien...I need ideas!

Options
Based upon my BMI scan, the dietician suggested several 20 g of protien meals or snacks every day. That is a lot of protien at once.

I too will get board with chicken and bacon :)

No seriously, what are some options for me besides meat and cheese?

Chia seeds! You can put them in drinks - they're fun in lemon water, juice, kombucha. Also greek yogurt, broccoli (if veggie protein counts), protein shakes.

20g of protein is not really alot when you get used to eating more protein

Fage 2% plain greek yogurt has 20 grams - 150 calories

    1/2 cup of cottage cheese or greek yogurt has 13 grams x2 = 26 - 160-180 calories

    1 cup of Egg Beaters has 24 g - 120 calories

Vitasport pro7ein whey powder has 34 grams - 153 calories

Yum yum yum - eat all the protein!

Plenty of good suggestions already. Greek yogurt (especially the non fat kind) is a staple in my diet, as are protein shakes.

Most beans (kidney, pinto, garbanzo) are high in protein. Nuts such as almonds and walnuts have a decent amount as do eggs. Peanut butter, Greek yogurt, and most seeds are also high. I like to make really big salads that utilize combinations of all of those ingredients. Any fish is also a safe bet but Tuna and Salmon take the lead.

You could also find a quality simple protein suppliment.

I use Calnaturale Svelte protein drinks. Four flavors, each 15.9 oz pack has 16g protein. The 11oz pack has 11g protein. I order mine from Amazon on monthly shipment (gives a discount) so they are less than $2 each. I am not able to stomach the Chai flavor but other folks seem to love it.

Session was over. Don't see her for a week so I thought I would beat her to it.

Unfortunatly no, this is in error. I wish...no, then I would be dead. But then again I'm sure I have lost 323 lbs in all my yo-yoing.

Try Spiru-Tein in blueberry, peach, or strawberry banana, some nut butters, or edamame. I like the EAS protein too in chocolate.
