Boot Camp Frustration

This is my second week into Boot Camp 3 days a week. On the days I dont have boot camp I run for an hour. I log all my food. Drink a lot of water and I have not loss any weight. My body is ACHING because I am using muscles I never knew I had. I guess I set unrealistic expections since I started this Boot Camp thinking the weight would melt off becasue I am in so much pain.

I NEVER complain on the forums I just need some motivation to keep going and not give up. I know I need to be patient. I just need to vent.

Ok done with the rant and self pity!!!!!

    Even weight loss?

I am being impatient I know. It's just that my body feels like HELL and I feel I should be seeing instant results if at least on the scale!!! I will keep plugging away.
  • I give bootcamp myself you need to be more patient 2 see results also dieting is really important as you know
  • If all this exercise is new, you could be retaining water. This could temporarily mask any weight loss. When I up the intensity of my workouts, sometimes it takes about 2 weeks to see the difference because of the water retention.

Take body measurements and progress pictures. I didn't see any weight loss doing Insanity, but I saw losses in inches and changes in the pictures, so I knew I was losing. Water retention can balance fat loss, as previously mentioned, so the scale may not reflect actual losses.

I workout everyday but it is always cardio.

This bootcamp is working mucles i never use. I think it is water retention like you said. I did read that if u up your workouts you can retain water. I usually weigh myself once a month. But this morning I just felt light (not bloated) so i'd thought i'd get on the scale. Bad decision LOL!!!

How much are you eating? Are you logging everything and doing so consistently? Do you weigh and measure your portions? Exercise alone doesn't guarantee a calorie deficit...in fact, people who execise intensely but don't either count calories or follow some other dieting discipline often just end up eating to maintenance even if they think they're "being good" because the body wants that energy...'cuz you just worked it half to death.

Weight loss is pretty much 100% diet...exercise is for fitness and looking better and overall health and well being.
