MACRO/CALORIE GOALS

Based off of what I have gathered from some research/personal opinions, I think im gonna try lowering cals to TDEE -20% with macros at 45%protein/35%carbs/20%fat to see if I can get rid of the extra softness on my abs and love on the sides... thoughts? I want to do 16/8 IF as well, but I can't seem to make it work with my work/workout/family schedule. I would probably only keep those macro percentages for about 30-60 days though, as I dont see myself always being able to hit that low on carbs and don't know how it'll work with my body health wise.

IMO, if you can't make IF work with your schedule, you shouldn't try it. As far as the studies go, I believe there is no concrete evidence proving that IF helps in fat loss over a diet that has the same calories. I believe that the biggest factors that IF has in it's favor is 1. Those that can run on the schedule like it, and 2. It allows for less inaccuracies when counting calories/weighing food.

Other than that, protein should help firm you up if you're planning on losing more weight, you'll retain more of the LBM during your cut. Going on a weight lifting program will also help.
  • I am one of those girls with the resistance bands and 10lb dumbbells... I wouldn't even know where to start with lifting. I used to just run all the time, but as of late, I have been doing p90x to mix up more cardio and stregnth.
