Im unsure of how to calculate my TDEE because I don't know what I should enter for activity. I'm a mother of a 22 month old. When Im home Im always cleaning (laundry, vacuuming, picking up toys, dishes, sweeping, mopping, wiping) Currently im working in an office 5 days a week. I lift heavy 3 times a week doing Strong Lifts 5x5. What should i set my activity level at when calculating TDEE?

Do you do any other exercise besides lifting? Maybe just start with "light active" or do some average of light and moderate. Remember, this is all estimation...just start somewhere and make adjustments as necessary. You're not going to dial it in from the word go...it'll take a little time and tweaking.

Lately no cardio. Starting badminton once a week next week. I play for an hour and a half off and on - someone has to sitout sometimes when there's not enough people. Sometimes i go for a walk or jog but i haven't in the last two weeks. Ive been focusing ALL on strong lifts and getting my normal everyday life stuff done.

It's just an estimate to be used as a starting point. Make a reasonable guesstimate. If you are unsure, guess conservatively and see how things go for a month. If your expected results are way off from your actual results, then tweak things a bit and give it another shot.

I'm pretty sure we've answered this question for you many, many times. Perhaps, OP, you should start actually doing the reading and work that has been suggested.

You are moderately active. Just pick one. Do it for 4-6 weeks then adjust as needed. OR...

Maybe look back into Beach Body. Aside from pretty interesting workouts, they do have some with food programs that maybe would suit better for you. Or maybe even Weight Watchers or Nutrisystem....they'll make it real easy for you.

Choose lightly active, wait 4-6 weeks, and reassess. If you gain weight, adjust calories down. If you stay the same, adjust calories down. If you lose weight, yay.

Then come back here and ask the same question again.

Lightly active. Stick to it for 4 weeks.

Then come back and ask us again.

Oh yes i am sticking with something now for sure BUT i was looking for reassurance that my TDEE is set right in the first place and i was pondering this because i didn`t really know if now that work is slower and im sitting most of the time what i should pick for activity level.

So I will take the advice and go with lightly active which gives a TDEE of 2028 and with a 10-15% deficit I shall eat 1700-1800cals. I like to have that range so i can hit calorie goal better.

Don`t wanna waste anymore time doing something wrong. I still worry though - what if this deficit is not right for me, the only way i will know is trial and error and that freaking sucks!

Just remember, we are always here to help. What has really worked for me was PM'ing all my questions to people on here who seem knowledgeable enough! I would do that if i were you, so many helpful people in this thread.

Have to pick between vanilla or chocolate pudding? PM someone!
Forget what my TDEE is because yesterday was a long time ago? PM someone!
3 in the morning and can't sleep? PM someone!

Better yet! Start a thread, and PM everyone the link so we can help you out!

It would likely be lightly active in terms of establishing an initial estimate. The only way to know your actual TDEE is to eat the maximum amount of calories that leads to relative homeostasis of body weight and composition for at least a month. After which, you can then implement the proper deficit according to your degree of adiposity.

OP is impervious to advice, hence the same questions get asked again and again. I thought her username sounded familiar so I dug this up:

ooh ooh i GOT this...quit your job, hire a maid, and a nanny then set your activity to sedentary. then when you do your lifting wear a heart rate monitor and log those cals it shows you burned. then you'll know for sure.
