Looking for a good, strapless HRM. Bought a cheapie at Meijer and it's very hit or miss on calculating calories burned. Don't want to break the bank, but I want something that will work. Any recommendations?

Personally, unless you have a medical reason to avoid aheart rate monitor with a chest strap, I would deliberately seek one out.
Heart Rate Monitors with a chest strap are much more accurate.
Polar 's HRMs have an excellent reputation.
Save up a set amount of money per month until you can afford one, if you can't afford one now. Otherwise, check out Amazon or eBay for deals.0
