I just wanted to get some opinions on running. I have about 30min to run every morning before I need to get ready for work. My question is, which should I focus on, miles run, mile time, incline, or does it even matter? To be honest I haven't really "timed" my miles, usually the treadmill gives me a mile time with whatever speed I'm on.

Focus on time on your feet running. If you have 30 minutes then run for 30 minutes. It wouldn't be a bad idea to take one day a week and challenge yourself a little bit. Nothing drastic but see if you can increase the speed a tad for perhaps the last half of your time. Other than that just keep using it consistently.

Switch it up, don't do the same thing every day. Some days run at a comfortable pace while still pushing yourself for 30 minutes, other days do 30 minutes of interval training, and other days do 30 minutes of hills. You have to do different things to challenge your body to get faster and stronger, if you do the same thing your body will plateau. Also you have to be consistent, don't do one day one week and five days the next, be consistent each week with the number of days you run, 4-5 a week and you will see and feel results guaranteed

I would need to know what your goal is. What is your reason for running?

Maximum calorie burn, so that would mean keeping the heart rate up for as much of the 30 mins as possible right?

In that case, you should consider HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). There are lots of resources available on the Internet. That would probably give you the best bang for your (30 minute) buck. :)

Even if you are doing HIIT, I'd suggest working on an incline -- that is a lower-impact way of getting the same effect.
