Hey Everyone

How much fibre is too much? I eat almost 60 grams some days, with Oatmeal, Rice, Fruits, Veggies. Is this too high my profile says 38 grams. I just want to make sure I am not hurting myself. I don't over eat the Rice 1 cups at lunch and Oatmeal or Oat Bran 3/4 cup for breakfast. Please help :)

maybe 60 grams daily is too much. 25-30 is the usual recommendation. too much may cause malabsorption of food and cramping.
  • I don't really keep track of my fiber intake because mfp only allows you to track so many things in your daily intake. Do you feel like you're having issues because you're consuming too much?

I would have thought that the opposite would be true, if you're consuming alot ( or too much ) fibre. I'm eating salad and other fibre rich foods like nobody's business.... and I'm like grand central station.... with trains leaving regularly more than once a day.... and long trains too.... if ya catch my drift.
