Im in need of some quiet home core exersizing. Im a "stay at home" working mom. What does that mean, you ask? I have 3 children, ages ranging form 5 years to 4 months and I work overnights as a nurse who has little time to sleep much less exersize. I know what you're going to say: "Thats an excuse. If exersizing were a priority, Id make it happen." Well, Im attempting to make exersizing a priority, but Im not going to kill myself in the process.
Im 30 years old, 10 lbs from my weight loss goal, still with a mushy middle. I dont want to be doing 1000 sit ups or jumping jacks. I want something fun to do DURING NAP TIME that will take 15-30 minutes so I can lose the excuse "I dont have time" or "Im too tired"

If you're a stay at home mom, then you have a full time job! My wife stays home with our kids and she says it was easier to go to work haha!
There is no way to spot reduce fat unfortunately. I would recommend reducing your calorie intake slightly and then doing cardio when you have time during the day. 20-30 minutes a day or even a few times a week coupled with a lower calorie intake should help you lose some weight off your stomach.
You could also do some basic crunches in your living room or get some of those DVD programs to watch to keep you motivated, those are typically pretty cheap and easy to follow. Might make it more fun for you. Crunches won't take the fat away from your stomach, but they will tighten your core up.
If you could get to the gym or get some dumbbells for home you could also incorporate a weight training program into your routine, maybe just twice a week or something. I know when I first started losing weight I still felt "flabby" until I started lifting again and then all my muscles were tightened up and I felt a lot more fit adding that to my routine.
You're definitely busy, but a lot of people are busy, so you can do it, just have to make it happen somehow, whatever works best for you. Good luck!0 -
