nonstop hunger days!

have you ever had one of those days where you feel like you could eat the planet!? no matter how much i eat i will not get full. i drink water in between and let myself mentally digest, but i feel as if the food doesn't even register in my stomach and i just process it that fast. is it possible that some days my metabolism is that crazy high!? or am i just hormonally off... i notice these days are typically before TOM, but today i ate about 2400 calories and i'm still super hungry and i am finishing my TOM. active lifestyle have anything to do with it?

    What you ate on the hunger days didn't work for you, find alternatives. You can eat 2000 cals of yogurt, feel starving and go on a binge. It just doesn't work, you have to eat substantial things. Meals should be meals, not a combination of favorite healthy snacks.

    I have days like this actually. It's better now that I am here, because I just have something calorific at home rather then go to Burger King (my vice of choice). At home I could maybe eat an extra 500 odd calories (usually cheese), whilst at Burger King we are talking 2000+ extra to my daily calories :-)

    Oh definitely. Especially when I was on 1200. The hunger was so bad that I would find myself in turmoil thinking about food, knowing I had no cals left by 5pm. Sometimes I would honestly just go to bed way too early just to sleep and get away from my own brain!

    I found I wasnt eating enough. Are your cals working for you most of the time? If they are, then your just having one of those mad days we all have where nothing is filling you up.

    For me, a nice big bowl of red lentil soup works. I made a big batch 3 days ago and I've been eating it for lunch and dinner ever since as I am on my days off and this is when I tend to get REALLY hungry!

    Try diagnosing what your body wants, salt, sugar, fried food and then make a filling food choice that will fill the void. I used to have hungry days and nothing filled me up. Now I stop and listen to the body, as women our hormones mess with us, men will never get that. No offense to the men out there trying to be helpful.
    Here are a few things that work for me.
    Salty=almonds
    Sweet=chopped apple with caramel drizzle
    Sweet and salty=chocolate frosting on 1 graham cracker or a few pretzels dipped in frosting. Less fattening than chocolate covered pretzels.
    Greasy=fried vegetables still unhealthy but much better than cheese sticks which are full of salt and fat.
    Good luck oh and go for a walk, the endorphins that get released might help the appetite drift away.

    I'm in those days. I've been going to bed hungry the last 3 days. Totally sucks. It usually doesn't last much longer than 3 days for me at least... I try to make better choices to make the most of my calories but it typically doesn't seem to help much. But it usually passes!
