Fresh Start

Hi! I am a twenty-eight year old woman who has been trying to lose fifteen pounds forever! I am 5'4 and about 150 pounds, which isn't so bad, but isn't what I really want to look and feel like. If you are like me and don't have that far to go, but it seems like a marathon, feel free to friend me.
I've tried many diets, and even had a personal trainer, but nothing has worked long-term to help me get the weight off and keep it off. I'd love to have supportive people to share my journey with and to learn from. This calorie-counting thing has not worked for me on a consistent basis, but from looking at the many success stories here, I am inspired to give it a try. Please feel free to share experiences in starting out, adjusting to counting calories, how to avoid binges, and staying sane.

    I am a newly returning member on here, this is day 5. I want to lose 25lbs, in fact that's now 24 lbs as I lost 1lb since Wednesday :) I am a bit older than you but happy to become a MFP buddy to help one another towards our fitness goals. My downfall has been alcohol. I had a stressful job, and would come home and have a drink to chill out. And of course, after drinking, the body craves food, and the willpower is at a low ebb. Currently abstaining until I make serious progress with my goals, and, who knows, maybe I won't need it any more. Add me if you like by all means... ;)
