General Consensus on the home version of Body Pump?

I have a friend that LOVES the YMCA version of body pump, but I am really trying to avoid paying for a gym membership again. I am focusing on in home videos (because I'm more apt to do it), I have a treadmill, and I recently started a running program with our local fleet feet. I checked out the beach body version of body pump and it looks like exactly the strength training addition that I need with my running. I was just wondering if anyone had tried it and what they thought. Thanks!

I have Beachbody's Les Mills Pump, but I've never been to a live class. Personally, I really like it. I'm a SAHM, so home based workouts work much better for me. The set comes with the dvd's, nutrition guide, barbell and weight plates.0

The reviews of the barbell itself are pretty poor. I wish you could buy the workout without the barbell.0

That is the downside to the barbell that comes with the program. The max amount of weight is relatively low. according to my hubby especially.0

I'm sure you could find the DVD's online and get the bar/plates separate.0
