Help! I need some ideas and suggestions!

Does anyone know any exercise you can do to help slim and tone your neck and face? I know it sounds silly but I would really like to work on that part of my body.

    As with all weight loss -- the body will end up deciding where it comes off of. Unfortunately, at least for me, I dont believe in sport toning/reducing. Just let your body decide where it comes off of -- eventually it will come off the areas you want it to.

    While I was on the 6 week body makeover there was an exercise that controlled that portion of the face. Start in seated postion with head tilted slightly back. Drop jaw and let mouth fall open. Breathe in. Exhale as you push chin up and out towards your upper lip, tigthening your neck and jaw. Hold for 1 second. Inhale as you return to start position. You look like a frog, but it works. I don't have that waddle thing.

    Keep your neck and back relaxed to avoid straining your shoulders. Don't do it if you have neck or TMJ syndrome. 1 set 20 reps once a week for week 1, then week 2-on 2 sets of 18 reps.:flowerforyou:

    You can't really target areas to lose weight, You can target where to tone, but when fat melts it picks where it wants to go first (and last)

    If it makes you feel better! I lose weight in my face FIRST! lol I'm not sure if everyone is like that or not, stomach last, face first! (and boobs!) :(

    You can start accenutating your neck by working your shoulders! (there are some cute threads in the Success Stories section that people 'discover' there collar bones! ) I still remember the day I found mine, took 2 years !but I found it!

    Lance Armstrong's website has some exercises for neck and double chin. I read it, tried it and laughed, I can see where it would work though.

    You can exercise your face muscles...with your mouth you can say the short sound a as in apple....aaaaaaa then say the long o sound...oooooo I do this exercise in my car you alternate a, o, a, o. I also open my eyes wide and lift my eyebrows to tone around the eyes....I am a kindergarten teacher but did not make these up. LOL I saw it on tv a long time ago....I do not have a lot of wrinkles on my face and do feel relaxed after I do these exercises. Try it!:bigsmile: = the a sound and :sick: = the o sound.
