Problems with friends?

I love my friends very much I really do but they have ways of making me feel discouraged very easily.
A little back story: I am attending an art college right now and I get assignments like mad from it. Along side dealing with my college work I am also concentrating on my weight loss. I have happily lost over 20 pounds so far and plan to keep on going.
Now out of these three specific friends only one of them has a job. The other two sit around their apartment all day not doing much.
I keep being told that they'll support me in doing this low carb thing (I was put on it by my dietitian).
But one will blatantly eat candy/things I can't have in front of me, which I could deal with, if he didn't tease me with it. I just smile at it and do my best to ignore it.
My other friend will sit and argue almost any aspect of my diet with me. She was saying what I was doing wasn't healthy, how there is no such thing as something without carbs, and even that my diet soda was messing with my PCOS.
And finally my boyfriend also lives there. I love him but I feel like he expects me to just drop all my work and hang out. I've tried to explain to him that I am in college and I am paying to get this work done but he still gets upset at me when I do homework around him. As far as the diet goes, he has been the most supporting though. He has been doing his best to do it with me.
And the worst part is that in the end, I am a big pushover and let it happen. They want me to hang out today but I want to stay at home and work on this essay. I know for a fact that they'll continually distract me as I write and I'll loose my train of thought.
Ahh this turned more into a rant about college, then dieting. Sorry, just something I've needed to get off my chest for a while and the people I'd normally talk to are unavailable at this moment.

Problems with friends? Is it the concept of problems that you have with friends or with friends. To me they don't fit the definition of friends. To change them will be like pounding a square peg in a round hole. You are trying to change your lifestyle. Make friends with others who are trying to change their lifestyle. It doesn't have to be with food, go to an AA meeting or something similar. Find people looking for a lifestyle change. Make new friends and be supportive of them and they will support you. I have a food addiction and take it very seriously. Anyone who doesn't believe that food addiction exist, have lazy opinions.0
