I need a new goal! I've run out!

Hello All!

I've hit my next to last personal goal that I've set for myself. As of right now, I've lost 151 pounds. I would like to lose at least five more pounds to be within a healthy BMI for my height.

That's my last goal that I've set. So...here's my question: what should my next goal be? Should I do some sort of a fitness/not weight related goal? What are your goals that have been great motivators for you? I need something to keep me going. :)

Thank you! :)

I'm just a few pounds from a healthy BMI too. I've lost 120lbs so far and Ive just recently started weight training, so my next goal is to post before and after pictures on this thread someday. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1096001-halp-heavy-lifting-made-me-supah-bulky
Looking like these gorgeous ladies someday is my motivation and that should keep me busy for a while.
There's always more you can accomplish, and no real finish line. You'll find something that motivates you.

I would say you should definitely have health/fitness goals that are not directly tied to the scale.
How about starting a new exercise program with goal of seeing it through from start to finish? Or signing up for a local walk/run for a good cause? Taking up a new "sport"? Taking a dance class?

Congrats on your success thus far! Sounds like you're doing well! Good luck moving forward.

I never run out of goals. You can always lift a pound heavier, run or swim a few seconds faster, or try a class that you never would have dreamed of trying
  • Thank you for the ideas! I think that weightlifting/strength training is right up my alley. :) I don't know about a bikini contest. Maybe after I tone up! ;)
