Looking back at my first week, the only fruits I seem to be eating is an applesauce cup, and veggies a little baggie of carrot sticks and dip, and 2/7 days some veggies with dinner. One of the big problems I have, is if it takes a bit to prepare I'm probably gonna opt for another choice.

Any good suggestions for quick things I can grab to try and get more fruits and veggies in me? I think I'm gonna get a pack of strawberries and divide it up in little single servings snack that I can grab and take to work with me.

TIA ~ Mere

Buy it cut up already. Or like bagged salads you can just open and pour. Grapes, strawberries, blueberries, and mini carrots are an example of a ready to grab item. I try to grate carrots and chop salad or grab foods and store them ahead in the fridge.
  • strawberries, raspberries, blueberries are all low cal and sooooo yumm! try them with yogurt or in oatmeal or cereal.
    i go bananas for bananas.
    oranges r yumm!!
    papaya is my new favorite!
peaches, plums, apricots, pears! i literally eat 4 of the above DAILY!

veggies! make salads and add lean proteins to it.
i love spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, raw zucchini, carrots
add some feta cheese.. or some yogurt based dressing.... ad ur favorite protein.... YUM!

i make big pots of veggie soups weekly.
sometimes ill add bulgur wheat and sometimes a chopped chicken breast....

eggplants, zucchini, prepackaged mixed veggis (asian style) NO SAUCE... spices.. and a bit of olive oil... and roast/broil/bake.

Maybe when get home from shopping you can divide up everything you bought into snack bags. You can mesure them out. Such as bags of grapes, carrots cerlery, cucumbers, kiwi and mix with starberries. Good luck. I plan to do this, just have to hide them from my 4 yo.
